ChoiceOne Bank Expands Business Development Team in Grand Rapids

ChoiceOne Bank recently announced the addition of Rodney Prahl to the position of Vice President Commercial Loans, Business Development Leader and Aaron Griffin to the position of Assistant Vice President, Business Development Officer.

“We are pleased to welcome Rodney and Aaron to our commercial lending and business development team and ChoiceOne Bank,” said President and CEO of ChoiceOne Bank Kelly Potes. “Rodney is an experienced banker with a successful career in commercial lending and private banking. His lending and business development expertise along with his leadership skills will prove valuable as we expand our community bank franchise throughout West Michigan. Aaron comes to us with the banking experience needed to present complete financial solutions to our broadening customer base.”

 

Rodney Prahl

Prahl began his banking career in commercial lending at Old Kent Bank, now Fifth Third Bank. He moved into Private Banking with LaSalle Bank, now Bank of America, and spent the last nine years as a commercial lender at Independent Bank. With a successful and long-standing banking career, Prahl holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and an MBA from Western Michigan University. He also holds community leadership positions as a board member for the Ronald McDonald House of West Michigan, Ronald McDonald Charities of Outstate Michigan and the Grand Rapids Civic Theatre.

 

Aaron Griffin

Griffin joins ChoiceOne Bank with over 10 years of banking experience at Huntington National Bank. He began his career in banking as an Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager and rose to the position of Assistant Vice President, Business Banking Specialist. Griffin has his Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management from Northwood University, Grand Rapids. He is active in Junior Achievement and a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
